The Fittipaldi Collection

The country where it is still said that to go fast is to go ‘Fittipaldi style’, is honoured to have this extraordinary collection, which has never been exhibited before, making its world premiere at the Museu do Caramulo.

The road that led Emerson to glory and to the Olympus of drivers was short, fast but challenging. Opportunities were won with courage, dedication and a remarkable discipline of work, in a journey that conquered Europe, America and, along the way, the whole world. The Fittipaldi name continues to make its way and write history in racing, but Emerson’s achievements are symbolised in these machines, which tell a visual story of the success of one of the most charismatic drivers of all time. The exhibition can be visited at the Museu do Caramulo.

World War II in Living Color

In 2025, the world marks 80 years since the end of the  World War II — the largest conflict in human history, whose far-reaching impact profoundly shaped modern society, from politics and geography to science and culture. To commemorate this milestone, Museu do Caramulo presents the exhibition “World War II in Living Colour”, a unique display featuring original vehicles from both sides of the conflict, alongside hundreds of period artefacts that tell stories of courage, innovation, and resilience.

Spread across two buildings, the exhibition showcases a collection assembled over more than two decades, highlighting the engineering and creativity behind wartime machines. The experience is further enhanced by an immersive Virtual Reality journey, transporting visitors into emblematic scenes of the conflict. This combination of historical artefacts and sensory technology aims to forge a powerful connection with the past, honouring the sacrifices of those who lived through one of the most pivotal periods of the 20th century.
