Carlos Tavares

Brief info

Driver and CEO of Stellantis, the fourth largest automotive group in the world, formed from the merger of PSA and FCA

Passionate about cars from an early age, he began by being a track commissioner at the Estoril Autodrome.

His first race was in Vila do Conde, in 1980, at the wheel of an Alfasud Sprint Group 1, qualified in fifth position. In 1983 he began to participate, as a pilot, in rally races with his friend Bruno Cébile, as a navigator and Arnaud Montagné as an assistant coach.

It is worth remembering his participation in the Monte Carlo Rally with his own team, Clementeam Racing. In 2014 he participated in the 24 Hours of Barcelona, winning in the A2 class behind the wheel of a Peugeot RCZ.

Carlos Tavares is considered by many as a “Car Guy”, due to his participation, on weekends, in car racing. It has several classic cars in its collection that it uses to compete and whose maintenance is done by itself.
