Brief info

Rodrigo Gallego crowned FIA World Champion in 2004

Between 2005 and 2007 he raced a Minardi M85 Class D (cars post 1971 – flat bottom), switching in 2008 to a March 761/8 Class B, which had belonged to the Swede Ronnie Peterson, who won the 1976 Italian Grand Prix at Monza.

In 2017, Rodrigo Gallego was honored at the Minardi Day held in Imola, Italy, being the only former Minardi driver to receive an award from Giancarlo Minardi, as he was the only driver to win a world title with a Faenza team car.
