Fernando Peres is confirmed for the Caramulo Motorfestival this year, four decades on from his first appearance on the Caramulo hillclimb.

With a long and distinguished career in Portuguese motorsport, Peres is one of the country’s best-known rally drivers, with three consecutive Portuguese Rally Championship titles to his name, secured between 1994 and 1996.

His connection with Caramulo dates back to 1986, when he first took on the hill. Since then, Peres has returned to the Serra do Caramulo at the wheel of several cars closely associated with his competition career.

In recent years, Peres has also been supported by FUCHS, a brand with a long-standing connection to motorsport that returns to the Caramulo Motorfestival this year.

In 2025, Peres brought a Group N Ford Sierra Cosworth to the Caramulo Motorfestival, a car he competed in during the late 1980s and one that remains closely linked to his racing story.

Forty years after his first appearance on the hill, Fernando Peres returns to the Caramulo Motorfestival to take on the Rampa Histórica Castrol once again, adding another chapter to a story that now spans four decades.
