Veteran driver Francisco Sande e Castro is confirmed for the Caramulo Motorfestival, joining the line-up of guest drivers set to attend the event.

With a career spanning several decades in motorsport, he began competing on two wheels at the age of 17 before transitioning to four-wheel racing. Over the years, he made a notable mark in single-make championships, winning the Citroën Trophy in 1991 and 1993, and the Volkswagen Trophy in 1996.

In 1994, Francisco Sande e Castro became the European Vice-Champion of the Citroën Trophy, one of the standout achievements of his racing career. His journey also took him into cross-country rallying, with two appearances in the legendary Paris-Dakar Rally at the wheel of a UMM.

Francisco Sande e Castro now returns to the Serra do Caramulo to join the programme of the Caramulo Motorfestival, taking place on 4, 5, and 6 September.
