Hugo Lopes is confirmed for the Caramulo Motorfestival. The driver from Viseu returns to the Serra do Caramulo at an important stage of his career, now as an official driver for Team Hyundai Portugal in the Portuguese Rally Championship.

Hugo Lopes’ career is also closely linked to AMSPORT, a Viseu-based structure with a history spanning several decades in the automotive sector and motorsport. Founded by José Cruz, the driver’s father, AMSPORT maintains a strong connection to motorsport and closely follows Hugo Lopes’ progress in rallying.

After several years of development in national competitions and securing titles such as the Peugeot Rally Cup Portugal and the Portuguese Junior Championship, Hugo Lopes made the leap in 2025 to the Hyundai i20 N Rally2 through the Hyundai FPAK Júnior Team.

This season marks a new chapter, with his integration into Team Hyundai Portugal to compete in the Portuguese Rally Championship alongside co-driver Magda Oliveira. At the wheel of the Hyundai i20 N Rally2, the driver’s goal is to fight for victories and the national title.

Hugo Lopes now returns to the Caramulo Motorfestival, where the public will have the opportunity to follow a local driver up close as he continues to build his career in the national rallying scene, with AMSPORT as an integral part of that journey.
