The Porsche 935, one of Porsche Motorsport’s most exclusive creations, is heading to the Caramulo Motorfestival, where its 700PS will be unleashed on the Rampa Histórica Castrol.

Unveiled in 2018, the modern-day 935 was created by Porsche as a tribute to the legendary Porsche 935/78 ‘Moby Dick’, one of the marque’s most iconic racing cars. That inspiration is unmistakable in its dramatic, elongated bodywork, which reimagines the distinctive silhouette that became a familiar sight in motorsport at the end of the 1970s.

Beneath the bodywork lies the underpinnings of the Porsche 911 GT2 RS (991.2), powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged flat-six producing 700PS. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed PDK gearbox, while the car weighs around 1,380kg and was conceived exclusively for track use.

Production was limited to just 77 examples. Free from the regulations of any specific racing category, Porsche Motorsport was able to take a more uncompromising approach to its design, incorporating references to several celebrated competition cars from the marque’s history.

At the Caramulo Motorfestival, this exceptionally rare machine will leave the circuit behind for the Rampa Histórica Castrol. A rare opportunity to see — and hear — the modern Porsche 935 and its 700PS in action.
